Greg asked:
To me Elvis Presley was like the final prophet. He lived his life in these modern times as a Christian without ever even close becoming a radical but somehow he set an example despite all of the drugs which eventually lead to his death. No gospel singer ever came close to matching Elvis gospel. You can listen here Radiotime.com search for Elvis. I am pretty sure you Atheist will come around eventually. This gospel music will hit your heart like a ton of bricks….trust me.

“To me Elvis Presley was like the final prophet”
Funny, to me, he’s like a scratched record.
“He lived his life in these modern times as a Christian”
You’re joking right?
Elvis is actually very much like Jesus.
Both Elvis and Jesus had a great following.
Both Elvis and Jesus had fans that claimed to see them after their deaths.
And even though both Elvis and Jesus seemed like decent people, according to stories written about them, their fans are a scary group.
It’s because I like Elvis’ voice and Can’t Help Falling In Love.
Christians saw him as a threat back then. So you don’t know what you’re talking about
Elvis was a booze-soaked hillbilly drug addict. And I never thought he was all that great.
At any rate, the only thing that will hit like a ton of bricks is the reaization that your god-fantsy will never come true. [wait for it] Trust me.
Elvis was not a Prophet. Elvis never spoke prophecy and never performed miracles. Elvis was just another celebrity who consumed himself with his own sins.
Prophets went away after the Apostles and those they imparted the gift too died.
Come on Greg, as a Christian you have to be kidding. Elvis was a good singer and one that believed, but a prophet? I enjoy his gospel music, but he was not a messenger of God. He sang as many secular songs as he did gospel songs.
He is one of my favorite gospel singers by the way.
Doesn’t matter what religion you are. If you can’t tell his voice was pure and sounded terrific, you’re deaf.
